EUROMUSIC, the spanish equivalent and EUROPAX' younger brother took place basically in Almansa, where we lived between may 18. and 20. 2001. the concerts were in Villarobledo, Yecla and Almansa itself.

i have to say the following about it

four fine bands did a real good job to entertain the spanish audience.

countless hands and feet and hearts and butts grooved and banged and kicked and rocked aaaaalll night...

almost as many hands, feet and other body parts kept the artists healthy and wellfed. (thank you again)

and everybody liked the party...

the bands were:

AUTOMATICAMINIMASSIMA Italy. not exactly POP-music...but totaly the only band that was not inspired by PUNK. pump-gun bass, smooth organ/keyboards, funky guitar and an incredible voice... hey, did i forget the tight drums??

DESECANO Spain. playing only the last of the concerts this experienced old-school Punk-Rock band had no problem to royally kick everybodies ASS on headliner position

SAKE Spain. Hardcore. Crossover. more Hardcore. a lot more Hardcore... headlining in Villarrobledo, their hometown, i had for the first time in my life the opportunity to see the typical boygroup teeny girly 16 year old fan slamdancing and headbanging..... impressive...

UNTAMED Germany. Trashcore, they call it. Me, I had seen them before. the Mayor of Villarrobledo hadn't. seeing them on a great stage with a great sound .impressed ME . can you imagine how Villarrobledo's Mayor must have felt???

rumours say spanish people are forming an organisation named "EUROPATCHANKA" that will take care of organizing new international concerts in spain. with a name like that they must be successful, they are practically sentenced to succeed. not to mention the respect I pay to them...
